Connectivity
Benefitting from a number of nationally significant transport assets Richmondshire sits at the most northerly part of Yorkshire within close proximity to the Tees Valley, Durham and Cumbria. Served by J52 (Catterick) and J53 (Scotch Corner) of the A1(M) and the A66 interchange, Richmondshire provides fast and direct north-south and east-west connections which means that all parts of the UK can be reached within legal HGV drivers hours.
The A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Project, due to start early in 2024 will provide a continuous dual carriageway from M6 Junction 50 to Scotch Corner shortening journey times and improving road safety.
