After “years of preparation” on the old British Steel site at Redcar, and on other projects, plans are finally coming to fruition.
With work to reclaim the land on the steelworks site on track for summer completion, building work will begin within months.
Ben Houchen, Tees Valley Mayor has also set out plans for other sites across the region including: the Darlington Station redevelopment, the airport logistics park on the south side and the redevelopment Hartlepool station. All with the promise of thousands of long-term jobs.
A further announcement into another big development coming to Teesworks will be coming in the next few weeks. It will be another major international, committing to come to Teesworks, bringing a considerable number of jobs.
