Training, Skills and Consultancy Support

We understand that businesses need dedicated, loyal and skilled staff to enable them to grow, adapt and stay ahead.  We also understand that employing people costs money and ensuring their development takes time.

As well as our own dedicated apprenticeship fund, we provide a signposting service to skills and training providers.  We work closely with higher education colleges and universities as well as funded programmes such as Skills for the Workforce to ensure you get the support you need to develop your staff.

Richmondshire District Council’s Apprenticeship Wage Subsidy Scheme (opens link in new window) provides up to £3000 for businesses looking to employ new apprentices. We have so far supported over 40 businesses to take on apprentices who have been successful in completing apprenticeships in digital marketing, accountancy, hairdressing and beauty, joinery and hospitality.

We have a close working relationship with the Skills Team at The Local Enterprise Partnership, enabling us to influence initiatives and support based on the needs of our businesses.  We find out, first hand, what support is available to keep our businesses up to date.
